During the spring term the Reception children develop their literacy skills by listening, role-playing and rewriting their own versions of traditional tale stories.
A favourite story ‘The Ugly Duckling’.
“Quack, quack, quack! Don’t come back!” Said the ducks in the duck yard. Thankfully the children’s own hand written sentences appear to have happy endings.
