Saint Felix School, has, for a long time, enjoyed a boarding community that is rich in its diversity of cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
Alongside our English boarders we regularly welcome pupils from the People’s Republic of China, Hong Kong, Tanzania, Germany, France and Spain.
Boarding is popular with boys and girls of all ages. For pupils throughout the school a period in boarding can be a valuable experience as they learn to live in a larger community and ultimately prepare themselves for university life or the world of work.
We are able to offer a range of boarding options tailored to suit the needs of each individual family:
- Full Boarding is seven nights per week apart from exeats and school holidays. This package allows boarders to take advantage of weekend trips, activities and a structured prep session.
- Weekly Boarding – Boarding for four or five nights from Sunday or Monday through to Friday evening. Boarders return home for the weekend.
- Flexi Boarding - for pupils involved in evening activities one, two or three nights each week.
- Occasional boarding- , this is particularly popular during play rehearsals or when fixtures or trips have early starts and late finishes.
Boarding is structured around three boarding houses which are run by houseparents and their assistants. We currently have two boarding houses for boys and one for girls, please see separate sections of the website for further information.
Opportunities for the boarders to relax in the evening and at weekends are provided outside of our structured study sessions. Boarders are free to use many of the on-site facilities including the sports hall, fitness suite and outdoor tennis courts or visit Southwold for shopping and leisure. We have a rich and diverse weekend activity schedule which ensures that the boarders experience as much as possible during their time at Saint Felix.
