The home team edged a fiercely competitive encounter by 3 tries to 2. Both teams were fully committed in the tackle and break-down areas resulting in a tense and sometimes fractious match.

Saint Felix opened the scoring with two first half tries resulting from hard running and pressuring the opposition line. R.H.S hit back with 2 tries resulting from good hands and determination. Saint Felix got over the try-line again but were held up by last ditch defence. Saint Felix then had to frantically defend their line, and as one threw themselves at oncoming attacks. After soaking up the pressure Saint Felix scored a third try which was successfully converted. Saint Felix then held on for the last five minutes, a man down, to edge a victory.

As the Captain commented in the changing room after the game, ‘the team should all get the man of the match’ and Mr Currie whole-heartedly agreed.

Tries – J Stephens, J Andrews, R Harvey.
Cons. – R Harvey
