A Level Results day 2022 gave good cause for celebration for Saint Felix pupils in a year when the school also celebrates its 125th anniversary.
87.5% of the results gained A* to C grades
25% leave with a full set of A* to A grades and 54.2% leave with A* and A grades within their profile.
31.9% of leavers achieved at least one A* in their results
100% of those who took Ancient History, English Literature, Latin and PE received A* or A grades.
“The past few years have been a time of severe disruption to academic study for so many children, which is why I am particularly proud of our Year 13 pupils’ achievements this year. We know that our (new) Old Felicians will go on to achieve great things, whichever path they choose to take. Some already have accepted offers from top UK Universities while others are taking the chance to gain work experience before they consider their next step. We wish them well. A number of this year’s cohort have been at Saint Felix since they were toddlers. They will be missed by many, but we anticipate that many will return to visit friends and siblings still at the school and we will welcome them to key events in the school calendar.” James Harrison, Headmaster
Sixth Formers joining and remaining at Saint Felix in the next academic year will benefit from the stunning refurbishment of the school’s boarding house facilities as part of the school’s development programme. The Sixth Form department will also take a different shape as a new Saint Felix College. The College model will incorporate Senior pupils, from Year 11 giving them a non-uniform transition into their GCSE year and the chance to benefit from the school’s innovative Futures Programme, with life skills workshops and talks by mentors from professional fields to successfully prepare students for future success.
