• Up to £25,000 depending on experience
• Full Time – One Year Fixed Term Contract
• 39 hours per week

Saint Felix School are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join their estates team.

You will be a valuable member of our Estates Team under the supervision of the Head of Operations and our Estates Manager coordinating the school transport & providing general site maintenance across the school site.

Strong experience in maintenance is key for this role with the ability to turn your hand to many tasks. You will need to work such hours as are necessary to satisfactorily carry out their duties as agreed with the Head of Operations and Estates Manager, which will include school holidays.

In your role as Maintenance Technician, you will need to be able to work as part of team and independently. Our maintenance work is a mix of planned and unplanned work, and we sometimes have to change what we are doing at short notice, to respond to weather related issues for example, to make sure that the School is able to continue to teach and support our children.

The general duties of the role will include;

• Carry out maintenance work, either on your own or as part of a team, including painting, plumbing, carpentry related projects to the internal and external aspects of our buildings as well as work to our external grounds areas.
• Carry out ground’s maintenance, such as fencing, waste transport and general maintenance.
• To establish effective working relationships and set a good example through your personal presentation and personal and professional conduct.
• Prepared to ‘lift and shift’ as required in the appropriate way, taking into account the school’s manual handling guidelines.

• You are punctual and well presented.
