Medical Centre

Medical Centre

Our Medical Centre is a place of care, comfort and support. Ideally located beside our Learning Hub and centred between Bronte, Clough and our Senior School, it is within quick access for all students. The Medical Centre, managed by Sister Paula Canham (RGN) and Dawn Lupton, is dedicated to looking after our students throughout the school day.

Within our Medical Centre, our team create a comforting environment with medical beds available for when a child is feeling poorly. There is also a welcoming sitting room to provide a peaceful space for those who do not need a bed.

We take a holistic approach to caring for your child by addressing their general health and first aid needs and providing essential pastoral care. We offer a listening ear and a quiet place for them to find solace. A wealth of current health and welfare information is available in our waiting room, and we are happy to engage in conversations about living a healthy life.

We maintain a strong partnership with Solebay Health Centre, the local doctor’s surgery, and we strongly recommend that all boarders register there for their healthcare needs.

If your child has asthma, we suggest keeping a spare, labelled inhaler in our Medical Centre. Similarly, for severe allergies, we advise having an additional adrenaline pen in the Medical Centre for emergencies.
