Saint Felix played their way into the Suffolk Cup Final with a fantastic team performance away to Woodbridge.
Saint Felix were put into bat, and were given a good start by the opening pairing of Harry De Coteau Spring (20) and Finley Barbrook (21). Woodbridge exerted pressure leading to a middle order wobble, however Joe Booker and Ryan Bland steadied the ship with 14 and 13 respectively, the team finishing on a respectable Nelson: 111.
Woodbridge came into bat with some confidence, hoping to chase down an achievable score. However, Finley Barbrook took the wicket of the dangerous opening batsman with a smart catch from keeper Reuben Harvey.
The bowling battery from Saint Felix then really got to work. Pace, spin and variation undid the Woodbridge team. Harry De Coteau Spring and Joe Booker both took 3 wickets apiece through spin and guile. Finley Barbrook took 2, and Harry Barbrook weighed in with a wicket wrapping-up a great team performance, bowling out the opposition with five overs to spare and by a margin of over 50 runs.
Saint Felix displayed the admirable qualities of determination, skill and teamwork in the field, and can now look forward to the final!
