Staff, family members and fellow pupils were all treated to an evening of Cabaret classics on Wednesday evening in Gardiner Hall
A wonderful evening of music, song and drama was themed around the musical: Cabaret. Talented Senior and Sixth Form pupils briefly transformed our historic Gardiner Hall into a Berlin nightclub with excellent performances all round under the expert direction of our Head of Performance: Rebecca Knight with support from accompanist Holly Playle and Head of Music Noel Vine.
The Serenata evenings have been a great success since they began last year, offering pupils the chance to gain experience of performing in a professional setting – gaining confidence (and having fun) in the process.
Canapes and drinks were served to guests by the pupils themselves on tables set out in “cabaret” style and covered in white tablecloths – all adding to the sense of occasion.
Performers:
Mia Devonshire – Herr Felix
Lucia Franco-Key – Trixie
