Saint Felix Celebrates

Last weekend swimmers  headed to the Sportspark, UEA, Norwich for the first weekend of the Swim England East Region Championships.

Spread over three days this was the first Regional meet in over three years, therefore a first experience for many. The squad produced lots of personal best times with the following swimmers finishing in the top-8 for their age-group and making finals.

Saint Felix School Swimming Club have so far won 5 gold, 10 silver and 5 bronze medals, and had another 38 4th to 8th places as well.

William Ellard:
50m Freestyle – 1st
50m Butterfly – 1st
100m Butterfly – 1st
200m Freestyle – 2nd
400m Freestyle – 2nd
50m Backstroke – 2nd
100m Freestyle – 4th

1500m Freestyle – 1st
50m Backstroke- 2nd
100m Backstroke – 2nd
200m Backstroke – 3rd
400m Freestyle – 4th

200m Freestyle – 6th

Charlie McKinnon:
200m Breaststroke – 2nd
50m Breaststroke – 6th
100m Breaststroke – 7th

Natalie Sanford:
200m IM – 2nd
50m Freestyle- 3rd
100m Butterfly – 4th
400m IM – 6th
50m Butterfly – 6th

Jude Gunner:
50m Butterfly – 1st
1500m Freestyle – 2nd
200m IM – 3rd

Grace Robinson:
200m Freestyle – 3rd
200m IM – 5th
50m Butterfly – 7th
100m Backstroke – 7th
Charlotte Sanford:
200m Breaststroke – 5th
100m Breaststroke – 6th
50m Breaststroke – 7th

Nathan Birchenough:
50m Butterfly – 8th

Other pupils who competed well were Rosie Brooks, Freya Harwood, and Holly Driver.

This weekend sees swimmers travelling to Luton for the Championship 800m Freestyle and the 14yrs/under weekend.
