On Wednesday Saint Felix U13 Girls and Boys and U15 Girls Cricket teams played a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon of cricket at Southwold Cricket Club
Saint Felix U15 girls had a thrilling game which ended in a draw against Sir John Leman school.
Both teams hit exactly 80 runs after 15 overs per team. Captain Isla Webster captained Saint Felix and won the toss, choosing to field first. Both teams fielded well, with 2 Saint Felix wickets taken by Izzy Last after some accurate and fast bowling.
Isla Webster captained the side with pride and her communication was commendable when instructing the field to combat Leman’s strong batting performance.
A memorable fielding moment saw Sophie Everett dive and prevent a boundary! In batt Saint Felix made a slow start and early ‘outs’ made for a tense end to the game with the draw being secured in the final ball of the game with Tia and Lara making some tactical running decisions.
The afternoon saw an excellent game of Cricket played by both teams we thank Sir John Leman for a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon of Cricket at Southwold Cricket club.
