More Than Just A Hint of Snow White
What a wonderful production of ‘A Hint of Snow White’ the assembled audience over three performances were able to enjoy. It was packed full of excellent singing, fine acting and a genuine sense of a team performance with students having to stand in for extra parts at late notice due to illness. There was a palpable sense of joy and enthusiasm shown by all of the students involved and they will have learnt a great deal from the processes involved in bringing together so many different elements that such a production involves. The stage set, lighting, costumes and sound all added a real sense of vibrancy and professionalism, and our thanks go to everyone involved in making it such a joyous event. We are all looking forward to what next year may bring already!

It was a delight to see so many different schools (both primary and secondary) attend our inaugural Orienteering competition earlier this week working with North Suffolk School Sports Partnership and Suffolk Orienteering. Saint Felix won the secondary school event with our students competing with great credit. Orienteering provides an excellent opportunity to not only practice navigation and problem-solving skills, but also ensures that young students remain physically active. We will be continuing to work with Suffolk Orienteering, and they will be establishing a permanent course on-site which will benefit our students as well as those within the local community. It is so important that independent schools open up their doors and become a valuable part of the community. It is with this in mind that we are currently cementing a formal partnership with Southwold Golf Club, continuing to develop possible service projects within the local community for the next academic year, and exploring other joint initiatives to develop STEM, and other academic opportunities that will stretch, challenge, and excite our student body. I will be exploring all of these themes in more detail when I present on the curriculum changes after half term.

Please find attached a formal invite to the pre-Parents’ Day Golf and Supper Evening at Southwold Golf Club. I do hope that many of you will be able to attend what used to be an annual event. Whilst it is important to create new events and initiatives, it is always heartening to go back to former traditions as well.

Work has started today on upgrading the main entrance to the school with some beautiful glass doors that will create a fantastic first impression for all. I hope that when you drop your sons and daughters off on Monday morning, they will have been finished and you will all see the difference.

Yours sincerely,
