Saint Felix School is celebrating a remarkable achievement, with a 26% increase in Grade 9 results across a cohort the same size as last year.
Every student has much to be proud of, with many achieving grades above expectations. A special congratulations go to Freya and Grace, who each achieved seven Grade 9s – the highest grade possible.
Our Head, Mr Oakman said, “Congratulations to our GCSE students on a fantastic set of results. As a school, we are thrilled; our students’ hard work and dedication are evident, and it is very encouraging to see grades rising in core subjects, such as Biology, Chemistry and Physics, with 100% of our students achieving Grade 9 to 4.”
We have now introduced greater flexibility and optionality into our GCSE programme. With guidance from staff to ensure students make balanced and informed choices that align with their future goals, students are now able to choose which and how many subjects they study, with only English Language and Mathematics remaining compulsory.
Mr Oakman added, “We believe in freedom of choice, and with choice comes passion. If a student is passionate about a subject, they will achieve stronger grades and better outcomes, leading to more opportunities in Sixth Form and future education, and, overall, happier students. I am optimistic that, despite today’s results being excellent, they will be even better next year.”
Well done, GCSE Class of 2025! We wish each of you the very best in your next endeavour.
