On Tuesday 25th September, the Saint Felix Art Department enjoyed a challenging and focussed day of drawing from a real life model.
Twenty-two Art and Textile students from across Year 11 GCSE and Sixth Form were introduced to a range of approaches to drawing led by Charlotte Steele, an artist/tutor from The Royal Academy School of Art, London, as part of an outreach programme.
Students produced a variety of drawings in chalk and charcoal in response to different tasks, considering the formal elements such as the quality and expression of line, shape and form.
It was a really exciting opportunity. Students got a lot from this experience and will, we hope, continue to draw on this experience for future development of their personal work.
