Once again, students at Saint Felix School have achieved outstanding A Level results; the pass rate was over 97.5%, with 77.5% of all grades being A* to C.
Sixteen out of eighteen A Level subjects achieved 100% pass rate with 31% of candidates achieving A* to A.
Students have secured university places across the UK including Cardiff, Dundee, UAL, UCL and Reading.
Some subjects shone out among the others: Art, Ancient History, English Literature, Spanish and Textiles were a particular highlight this year.
Headmaster, Mr James Harrison, said: “These results reflect the outstanding teaching and learning experience available to our students. Saint Felix students come in all different shapes and sizes, and it is pleasing to see such sustained success across so many academic departments”.
Notable successes include: Madeleine Kime, who gained an A* in both Art and Textiles, will study Fashion Design at the University of the Arts, London; Nabila Haque, who gained an A* in Ancient History and an A in both Economics and English, will read Comparative Literature at University College London and Alexander Prowse, who gained an A in Ancient History and Mathematics and a B in Physics, will study Astrophysics at Royal Holloway.
Nabila Haque said: “I was given an amazing opportunity to come to the school where I was given the support and environment needed to excel and succeed. I’m excited to move on and go to my first choice university at UCL to study Comparative Literature.”
Alexander Prowse said: “I’m so lucky to have been given the support I have over the last six years and I’m so glad it’s paid off with these grades. I feel very lucky to be able to pursue my interests at university. This school has played a crucial role in my life and I couldn’t be happier to end this part of my life on such a positive note.”
