News from the Saint Felix Swimming Club activities in the first half of the Autumn Term

Norwich Swan “No Frills” Meet – UEA, Norwich, 24th/25th September:
A small team of five pupils joined 7 club swimmers in the first competition of the new year and produced some impressive results after the summer break, swimmers who competed were Grace Robinson, Ben Every, Jude Gunner, Charlie McKinnon and Marin De Villard, all gaining valuable County and/or Winter Regional Qualifying times.

National County Team Championship – Sheffield 2nd October 2022:
Five pupils (Marin De Villard, Charlotte Sanford, Charlie McKinnon, Jude Gunner and Grace Robinson) and Head Coach Nick Thompson were joined by two other St Felix School Swimming Club members to travel to Sheffield to compete in the prestigious event, where Suffolk retained their place in Division 1. The swimmers produced some great early-season swims with Marin producing the highest-ranked Suffolk swim and everyone enjoying a very noisy and enjoyable day,

Iceni Open Meet – Dereham, 1st/2nd October 2022:
11 pupils joined another 22 swimmers from the club to compete at Dereham for the first time since 2019 and returned triumphant with the Top Visiting Club Award for the third time, winning 52 Gold, 30 Silver and 32 Bronze Medals.

The Suffolk Development Meet and the Norwich Swan Development Meet took place over the recent half-term break.
