Old Felicians

Old Felician, Rochelle Bugg, has written ‘Handle with Care’, which is based on her life as a young carer and the loss of her parents.

Rochelle’s mother, Shirley Bugg, was a sports teacher at the school and James Bugg, her father, also had ties to the school.

Her own review from her website is below.

‘Handle With Care’ is part-diary, part-guide and follows me – Rochelle – as I nurse my mum through a brain tumour and reflect back on losing my dad to cancer when I was 14. Based on the successful blog I kept while caring for my mum, the book combines my story with practical advice and a healthy dose of humour.

I’ve thought back to what I wish I’d known, what I wish I’d done (and what I wish I hadn’t done!) so that it might help others who have a loved one with a life-limiting illness.

Whether it’s a quote that clicks, a practical tip that comes in handy, or a story that strikes a chord, my hope is that by reading this book, what you are / have been / about to go through is a little less painful, or at least a little less lonely.
