The Saint Felix PTA virtual balloon race was a huge success!
228 entrants hovered eagerly on the start line on Saturday 29th May. At 12pm the race began, and over the next seven days, the balloons jostled for position. With the leader board forever changing, it was anybody’s game. As the race concluded at 12pm on Saturday 5th June, the five balloons that travelled the furthest, and therefore winning the prizes, were as follows –
1st – ‘Maverick’. Owned by Louise Sharman. Distance travelled 1982 km
2nd – ‘Blue’. Owned by Holly Rowley-White. Distance travelled 1958 km
3rd – ‘Steve’. Owned by Tommy Rix. Distance travelled 1952 km
4th – ‘Flying Gem’. Owned by Charlotte Nelson. Distance travelled 1930 km
5th – ‘Ettie’. Owned by Juliet Hosea. Distance travelled 1910 km
The grand total raised for the children of Saint Felix School is £642! Thank you very much to everybody that took part.
