Our School Summer Concert was took place at the Holy Trinity Church, Blythburgh, on Friday 10th May.

The evening was a celebration of music in our school. The Prep Department gave an enthusiastic performance of pieces from The Lion King and Wind in the Willows. The Choral Society performed Libera Me and In Paradisum from Faure’s Requiem. Bach’s Double Violin Concerto and a selection of music from Fiddler on the Roof was performed by the String Ensemble. Pupils from our Prep Department joined Senior Instrumentalists in the Brass Ensemble and the Orchestra, which played Themes from Handel’s Water Music and Football Medley. A Quintet sang Leonard Bernstein’s The Best of All Possible Worlds, Puccini’s O Mio Babbino Caro was ably performed by Fiona Adcroft and Musical Theatre was showcased by Jess Brown singing Never Enough from The Greatest Showman. After wonderful performances from the Junior and Senior Choir, Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody was a fitting finale. Congratulations to Joe Booker who took the lead so confidently.

It was lovely to see the church filled with many pupils, parents, friends and visitors enjoying a summer’s evening of Music.
