In commemoration of the First World War centenary, students joining our Textile activity and our Year 12 Textile Design group have been busy making poppy brooches for Armistice day.

Students are using felt, organza, nylon netting and decorative stitching to produce a variety of beautiful three dimensional poppies to be worn as a symbol of remembrance. These will be on sale to students and staff immediately after the half term break, at the cost of £2 each. All money raised will go directly to the Royal British Legion to help those currently serving in our Armed Forces, veterans, their families and dependants.
