Mrs Joahnna Harlock
Assistant Head - Curriculum / Head of Sixth Form
Unlock your full potential at Saint Felix School’s Sixth Form, an independent Sixth Form in Suffolk, the perfect place to grow in a supportive and dynamic educational environment. We believe every young person deserves the opportunity to become a confident, mature learner, well-prepared for their post-18 pathway.
In 2023, 94% of our students gained a placement in their first or second choice of university, including Russell Group universities, and 82% of all grades were marked at A* to C and 36% at A* to A.
Our team of dedicated educators, led by Mrs Joahnna Harlock, Assistant Head and Head of Sixth Form and Curriculum, provide the academic and pastoral support you need to flourish and thrive. We boast exceptional facilities, personalised learning packages, and small class sizes that allow for tailored attention to each student. We offer a diverse range of A Level subjects, including unique offerings, such as Latin, Criminology, Classical Civilisation, and Psychology, ensuring you can fully explore your passions.
Our commitment does not end with academics. We understand that your post-Sixth Form choices are crucial, and we have developed a robust pathway programme to guide you. Whether you aspire to prestigious institutions or wish to broaden your horizons with the Extended Project Qualification, we can accommodate. Our Scholars Programme has a proven track record of helping students secure placements in prestigious universities, both domestically and abroad.
The Sixth Form experience at Saint Felix goes beyond studies. Our warm, close-knit community ensures each individual feels supported and encouraged to achieve. We empower each student to develop their individuality in a secure and nurturing environment. Prestigious, whole-school positions, including Heads of School and Heads of the school’s four academic houses, give opportunities for valuable leadership experience. There are also other opportunities available according to each student’s agenda. 2024 will see the launch of a Sixth Form leadership programme that will be open to all – further details to be announced.
Sixth Form students are encouraged to participate in school life, such as mentoring Year 11 students; assisting in lessons, for example, Year 7 Maths; or helping the Reception to Year 6 pupils with their reading or artwork.
