Madeleine Kime was selected as one of eight Midlands finalist in the Young Fashion Designer of the Year Competition, 2019.
She attended the final at The Royal Grammer School in Worcester on Saturday 22nd June. Madeleine set up a very professional display of her Personal Investigation A Level project. Madeleine’s work explored the theme of fragility. She had explored a variety of delicate materials and processes, and had constructed her final garment using fine silk organza, hand made paper, felt and free machine embroidery. The A Level work on display from all finalists was of a particularly high standard. Finalists were interviewed by two sets of judges during the morning and Madeleine was delighted to be awarded first prize for her exceptional textile work. Madeleine will be beginning her degree in Fashion Design at London College of Fashion in September.
