Tuesday was transition morning in our Bronte department with new Reception pupils welcomed and our current Year 2s prepared for their next stage of education in Clough.
We also welcomed new staff member, Mrs Karaboce, who will be teaching Year 2 next term but took the opportunity to get to know her pupils at the Star Assembly. Pupils were joined by the children from our Nursery. They behaved impeccably as they heard about the wonderful work by the Star workers this week who are as follows:
RECEPTION
Elsie shared a beautiful painting of Claude Monet’s water lilies and bridge in his garden in Giverny, France. She not only looked carefully at the poster and copied the flowers and bridge, she also matched and mixed the colours accurately.
YEAR 1
Aminah received her star for her amazing work in science this term. She also shared some rather exciting news with us – on Monday, she became a big sister to baby Zain. We all think that she will make a lovely big sister and send lots of love to the whole family.
YEAR 2
In Year 2, Jude Herbert received his star award from Madame Crane. She has been incredibly impressed by his positive attitude and the progress he has made throughout the year. This has increased Jude’s confidence and he spoke beautifully to us in French.
